Hello! My name is Reggie Avelino, the Accountable Network and Security manager. I started with Accountable back in May of 2022, and it has been nothing short of amazing. My primary duty here is to protect our network by any means. This includes troubleshooting issues, monitoring potential threats, providing user training, and applying critical security patches. We work as a team to promote the digital security of the company. In addition, I ensure that when and if cyber-attacks occur or data is stolen or compromised, these incidents are dealt with promptly and effectively. The chance of that incident recurring is minimized. As part of the IT Support team, we monitor and maintain the company’s computer systems, install, and configure hardware and software, and solve users’ technical issues as they arise.

Before embarking on this journey with Accountable, I retired, completing 20 years of service working on Top Secret networks for the US Navy as an Information Systems Technician. While enlisted in the Navy, I was fortunate enough to get my degree and numerous computer certifications. While serving, I got to see the world, living in Greece, Italy, Dubai, and Bahrain.

I was born and raised in Queens, NY, to Dominican immigrant parents. I would consider myself to be outgoing, friendly, and easygoing. I spend most of my free time doing anything sports related and hanging out with my beautiful wife Barbie and my 2 sons JJ and Jordan. JJ, 22, is in medical school studying to be a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Jordan, 15, is an All-American baseball player and plays Football and Basketball for his High School while driving me crazy every day. Haha.
